Meet Photography Coverage
CM Play Photography is the exclusive photography partner for the 2026 Long Course Junior Championships. I’ll be photographing throughout the meet with a focus on strong action, clean angles, and athlete‑centered moments.
For this championship, CM Play Photography is operating a session‑based athlete coverage reservation system, approved for use at this meet. This ensures predictable coverage, clear expectations, and a fair process for all families.
I will still take ad hoc photos of non‑registered athletes when I see great moments. These images may appear in the main event gallery. If you’d like me to use, sell, or publish photos of your athlete, please complete the quick commercial‑use waiver.

Priority coverage for all individual events
Reservation fee: $39
- Includes $29 store credit
- Includes $10 non‑refundable reservation fee

Limited Availability
To ensure fair and predictable coverage for all athletes, reservations are limited by age group, session, and gender. Once a group fills, it will close automatically.
Slots are first‑come, first‑served.
If your athlete’s group is full, please check back — openings may appear if families cancel.

I’ll be sharing a few edited highlight images during the meet on Instagram. After the meet, as each event is culled and published, I’ll announce it on Instagram so you can quickly see when your athlete’s photos are ready.

If you prefer email, you can sign up below to be notified when the full gallery first goes live. After that, all event‑by‑event updates will be posted on Instagram.

You’ll receive one email when the FULL gallery becomes available.

Where to Find Photos After the Meet

- If you would like an image of your athlete removed, please email me with the file number(s) and I’ll take care of it promptly.
FAQ
Why do I need a reservation?
Reservations guarantee priority coverage for your athlete’s individual events. With hundreds of swimmers and limited deck access, reservations ensure predictable, fair coverage for all families.
Is the reservation fee refundable?
The $10 reservation fee is non‑refundable.
The $29 store credit is always yours and can be used toward any photos of your athlete from this meet.
What does the $39 fee include
Your reservation includes:
$29 store credit (applied toward photo purchases from this meet)
$10 non‑refundable reservation fee (covers scheduling + guaranteed coverage)
Photos are purchased separately after the meet.
Do you photograph relays?
Relay coverage is not guaranteed. If your athlete is in a relay and you’d like coverage, please send me a message and I’ll do my best depending on deck access and timing.
Do you photograph every heat?
No. I photograph strategically across the session to capture clean angles, strong moments, and high‑quality frames. Priority coverage ensures your athlete is photographed regardless of heat.
What if my athlete is in Prelims and makes Finals?
Prelims and Finals are separate reservations.
If you want guaranteed Finals coverage, please reserve a Finals slot. Finals slots are limited.
What if my athlete's group is full?
Slots are first‑come, first‑served.
If a group is full, you may check back later — openings sometimes appear if families cancel.
Will You Photograph Non‑Reserved Athletes?
I will take some ad hoc photos of non‑reserved athletes when I see great moments or when timing allows. However, this is not guaranteed coverage, and families should not expect full or consistent photo sets without a reservation.
My priority during the meet is photographing athletes who have reserved coverage. With hundreds of swimmers and limited deck access, I cannot spend significant time photographing athletes who may or may not want images afterward.
If you want to ensure your athlete is photographed, please reserve a slot in their age group and session.
How do I find photos of my athlete?
When the gallery is published:

For best results, view on a laptop or desktop monitor.
When will photos be available?
Photos are published after the meet, session‑by‑session.
I will announce gallery updates on Instagram: @cmplayphotography.
Do you offer prints?
Yes. Premium lab prints are available directly through the gallery. Full pricing appears inside the gallery.
Do you follow SafeSport guidelines?
Yes. I follow SafeSport rules for deck access, athlete privacy, and image handling.
If you need an image removed, email me with the file number and I’ll take care of it promptly.
Do I need to sign the waiver?
It's highly encouraged. Signing the waiver directly benefits your swimmer in two important ways:
1. Your swimmer can be featured in commercial highlight sets or promotional materials.
If your athlete has a standout moment, the waiver allows me to use their images in:
- Championship highlight reels
- Featured edits
- CM Play Photography promotional materials
- Social media advertising
- Future event marketing
Many families love seeing their swimmer showcased, and the waiver makes this legally possible.
2. Your swimmer’s club can license images for their own use.
If your club wants to use photos of your athlete for:
- Team social media
- Website features
- Meet announcements
- Athlete spotlights
- Club marketing
I can only license those images to the club if the family has signed the waiver.
This is one of the biggest benefits — it gives your swimmer more visibility and allows their club to celebrate them publicly.
You do not need to sign the waiver for your swimmer’s photos to appear in the meet gallery or for CM Play Photography to publish images from this event. Your club already provides Ohio Swimming those permissions.
Can I request additional edits?
Yes. Light retouching (color, exposure, clarity) is included.
Advanced edits (object removal, skin retouching, composite fixes) are available for an additional fee.
